Field Service Engineer

Title: Field Engineer Location: San Diego, CA - but role is 100% travel Rate: $60,000+ (depending on experience) An Insight Global client is seeking to hire a Field Engineer for installation, maintenance, and training on electro-mechanical robotic equipment and vacuum systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing installation and repair of equipment at customer's facilities, providing training to customers, and performing machine start-up and testing. Essential characteristics include a high level of customer service, written/oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Field Engineers will be based out of their home and typically travel Monday through Friday, with some weekend stays necessary at times. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AA/AS in electronics technology or equivalent 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical systems Experience working with automated equipment and processes Must be open to 100% travel NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Specific experience with electronic packaging equipment such as epoxy dispensers, wire bonders, die bonders
